Review: I like this artist a lot...
So, volleyball boy and ping-pong boy used to be friends, but Volleyball gets bitten by the green monster of jealousy and he decides he can't be friends with somebody better than him at a sport. PingPong isn't helping things by acting distant towards Volleyball. So Volleyball takes it out on Ping Pong by molesting him after everyone's gone home after school.
It's actually not as clichéd as one might think. Volleyball is very conflicted about his feelings for PingPong: he can't tell if he loves him or hates him. It's pretty clear what PingPong thinks. (He wants it.)
NEXT STORY! PingPong and Volleyball are older, Ping's gone pro (pro ping pong? You wacky Asians.), and Volleyball's become a suit. They get placed together on a marketing project, and after some renewed aggression, some old feelings get brought to light-- only with words to clarify them this time. It's quite nice, and it wraps up cleanly. (I actually knew their names the whole time...They're Haru and Makoto. :B)
The afterstories...
The First Man I Loved made me laugh, but that guy's hair is ATROCIOUS. It was actually nice to see a departure from yaoi stereotypes, although that departure can be big or little depending on how you choose to see it.
Soul Mate (and its continuation, The Fated Lover)... Like, woah! Sadistic dentist! THAT was weird. Haha.
