Kibun wa Joujou!
Kibun wa Joujou!
By Tennouji Mio
Overall: Mediocre
Smex Factor: Red Lantern
Art: Generic
Status: 1 volume; complete
Review: It’s almost amazing how generic this manga is.
There are four couples. Three couples are tenants of this house; the fourth is an unrelated side story. GENERIC, GENERIC, GENERIC. The characters are all generic stereotypes, the plots have been done before. The ukes are fairly effeminate. (That’s a big turn off for me.) I have to say though, the artwork is pretty nice, though generic, and I liked one of the ukes and one of the semes (the cute host uke and the goatee-voice actor seme for personality and character design respectively).
But really. This is one of those, “if you’ve read one, you’ve read ‘em all” BL books. Read it if you’re bored, I suppose.
Oh, and the unrelated side story? Pretty uninteresting (the author of this book never takes her chance to EXPAND on anything, everything just sort of progresses without real transitions and the characters fall in love for no reason), but I’ve never told you about my bad-boy fetish, have I? Well, that’s a story for another time… (All I’m saying is that it would have been more interesting if the kid had fallen in love with the dude he punched in the face at the beginning. Now THAT would have been DIFFERENT!)
