Review: What…the hell? I’m not entirely sure what to make of this, so I guess I’ll just dive in. Take heed! There be threesomes ahead.
This seems to want to be some delicate analysis of the human’s need to love and be loved, but… Is this smut? All these characters seem to think about is having sex. Enter Yuka (although not as all three of our main characters have, please): her great secret is that she’s dying. So logically, she goes out and starts dating three dudes. Now, I’m actually alright with the polyamorous. But…don’t you think it’s only fair to tell your boyfriend about the threesome you’re about to have before your other boyfriend comes in and starts sandwiching you? I mean, all I could think of was the bedroom intruder. Suddenly! Another man!
And then she has another boyfriend. “I’m in love with the three of you,” she says, as though she’s not doing anything wrong. Yet…she still hid her relationship with Suguru and Takashi from Orie. (Well, until the bedroom intruder scene, but whatever.) And then she promptly dies, leaving all of her boyfriends in mental discord.
I cannot figure out what the hell any of these characters are thinking. They talk about how much they all love Yuka a lot. “She loved the three of us!” Over and over. Oh my god, shut up. And Suguru seems to go insane. Takashi just wants to get into Orie’s pants. And apparently Orie doesn’t even know what he’s feeling. And all the while they all cry and sob and moan about how much they love Yuka.
Takashi, I must say, seems the least upset about Yuka’s death. He really just keeps trying to molest Orie. Was he ever dating Yuka because he liked her? Or was it because he thought that her other boyfriend (no, not the other boyfriend, the other other boyfriend) has a nice ass?
This applies to all three characters when I say this: I know that people in mourning can act very irrationally. But these characters all go insane. Nothing they do makes any sense. The way they express their mourning is ludicrous. Nothing correlates. The whole manga is incomprehensible.
And then three straight guys have sex with each other because their girlfriend is dead.
